In 2017 a unique story of fate, involving one special daughter and a special ed teacher, brought together the Barvecue founding team.
Lee, our Founder & CEO, had recently sold a successful company and was dreaming of creating a plant-based barbecue brand and the impact that might have. Jeni, our heart-led Co-Founder desiring an end to factory farming, initiated a family connection to Zack, our Co-Founder & COO, who was eager to make an impact using his culinary and food science background.
This unlikely trio wasted no time getting started. In October of 2017, Barvecue was born!
Now, Barvecue is a national brand with our sights set high. We just opened the world's largest plant-based smokehouse and are entering into major retailers and foodservice accounts.
